Visiting the Dinosaur Museum

Last week, some of Scott's relatives were in town visiting from Colorado. So we all decided to go to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. It was so much fun! It was Alexander's first time there so it was fun to see how he might react. I think Alexander likes moving objects a little more than looking at a bunch of bones though :) He is used to us taking him to the aquarium so when there was a tiny fish tank with some fish in it, he got really excited. I think his favorite parts of the museum were the interactive parts. He got to play in some sand and water and also play in what seemed like a huge sand box. The sand and water part is where the kids search for small objects in the sand, and the big sand box has fossils underneath the sand that the kids can find when they use paint brushes to brush away the sand. He loved these places so much! We also got to visit this Sound Discovery room where he got to play with drums and stuff! It was great seeing Scott's aunt, Natalie, and her kids. Diane and Amy also came to the museum too, so we had lots of fun together. Below are some pictures of all of our fun together:

(He is eating the sand here! Silly boy!)

(He kept trying to climb under the bars to get to the displays!)

 (Gotta love that smile!)

(He just loves playing with toes!)

(He loved the paint brushes so much he carried two of them everywhere he went!)

Okay that was a lot of pictures! But they were all so cute! Scott loves the Dinosaur Museum and had to work, so I had to take lots for him. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the pictures. Tune in next time for more fun adventures with the Richins :)

Fun in the Park

The best thing about the week of the Fourth of July was that Scott took almost the entire week off! He had Tuesday through Friday off (and the weekend of course)! It was so great having him around so much! On Friday that week, we decided it would be fun to have a picnic in the park near our house. So we went to KFC and picked up some dinner and then took it to the park.

We ate dinner on our blanket, and then we had some fun with Alexander. Scott had yet to come to the park with Alexander and I (because we usually went while he was at work), so he had never seen Alexander on one of the baby swings. It was super cute watching the two of them together! After the swings, we took Alexander on the slides. The first slide I went on with him, was much faster than I expected! I even got a little scared because I was holding my little boy. I know...I am a wimp! Anyway, we took him on a more tame slide and then helped him slide down a smaller one. He loved the swings and the slide. Our dinner in the park was great and we even met a new family there who had a little girl close to Alexander's age. Below are some pictures of all our fun:

Our picnic in the park was lots of fun and we really enjoyed it! We plan to do lots more! The other day I went to my once a month Bunco group and won a huge picnic blanket! I am so excited for us to go again and to be able to use my new blanket! Well, that is all for now. Tune in next time for more fun adventures with the Richins!
