Looking Back: Bridal Pictures

As the day of the wedding approached, I got to have some bridals taken! These next pictures were taken by my friend, Jackie Springgay. We went to a farm to take these pictures and I loved it! It was fun being at the farm because I am a farm girl at heart. After all, I was the President of FFA (Future Farmers of America) my Senior year of High School (just a fun fact for you)! Here they are:

(About the dress: When I was a little girl, I had a Barbie doll that had a really lacy wedding dress. I always hoped that when I got married, my dress would be lacy too. When I saw this dress I fell in love with it, because it was not only lacy, but the sleeves were just like my old Barbie's sleeves. I guess we really do plan our weddings from childhood!)

(About the ring: The ring has a heart-shaped diamond, which is one feature I really wanted! I liked heart shaped because it represents our love. The ring also has antique etching on the sides. I liked that antique look because it represents how timeless our love is.

Scott was a big fan of the white gold, so he had some say in how the ring would look. We went ring shopping before we got engaged and I gave him ideas of ones I liked and he made the ultimate decision. I think he chose quite well! Scott also had a great idea to buy me a necklace to match the ring. On Christmas morning, the day before he proposed, he surprised me with a necklace that had three hearts. Then the next day, he gave me the ring when he proposed. The ring also contains two hearts on either side of the heart shaped diamond. He said he liked it because it represents our past, present and future together. He is so romantic!)

And then we had some more bridals taken by a friend of Scott's family, Mikell. I really wanted some pictures by water. She took us up to Bridal Veil falls. It was a little snowy, but I ended up really loving the snow pictures too. I also loved all the pictures of the water that we got. It had a Washington feel, according to my Uncle Ed :) Well, here are those ones too:

(About the veil: When I was little, I absolutely loved "The Sound of Music." In the movie, Maria has a gorgeous long lacy veil. When I put this veil on it made me think of hers and I fell in love with it!)

Okay! Well there you have it! Hope you enjoyed them!
