Looking Back: The Wedding: Part 2: The Temple

The temple sealing was, of course, the best and most memorable part of the wedding day. We found out that there was a room we could get sealed in that used to be Wilford Woodruff's old room. It was located in one of the towers of the temple up some spiral stairs. It was really neat because I remember that as we left the sealing room and went down the stairs, the sealing was what I had always dreamed of. I hadn't been a member except for only a few years, but it felt like I was getting married in the most beautiful castle, to my Prince. I even stopped a moment on the way down the stairs as I realized I had always pictured myself coming down a beautiful set of stairs in my wedding dress.

The sealing really was perfect. It was amazing looking into each other's eyes over the altar and promising to be together for eternity. The temple sealer was so sweet too. I don't remember everything he said, but I remember him telling Scott that I had a "heart of gold." I knew at that moment that we really would be eternal companions, and that it was only the beginning of many happy memories together.

It was great having so many of our friends and family there in the room with us. Though, since my family aren't members, I did miss having them in the room with me. Luckily my family loves me lots and still flew down to Utah to spend the wedding day with us. My Mom, Aunt Debbie and Uncle Ed, waited for us the the waiting room of the Manti Temple. It meant so much to me that they would make the sacrifices to be there, even though they couldn't come into the sealing room.

As we finished the sealing, the sealer had all of our friends and family say their congrats one at a time. It was so fun being able to hug everyone and feel the love of everyone. I especially remember feeling how much Scott's family showed their love to me, even though I had just met many of them. Now, looking back on it all, our love has grown so much for each other since that day. I am grateful to have married my prince, and to have his family treat me like one of their own.

When we finally made it down stairs, I remembered seeing tons of people in the waiting room, and then my Mom got so excited that she screamed my name out and ran up to me and gave me a great big hug. Scott likes to say that she stole his moment because he just couldn't believe how beautiful I looked and wanted me to see that look on his face. Luckily, he still makes me feel like the most beautiful girl in the world. It was great seeing my Mom in the waiting room though, and to see her excitement. She was in tears and so was I.

Then we did what most couples do and took a ton of pictures outside the temple. I have included some here for your enjoyment. Hope you like them!

Don't you just love our fun wedding colors????

Well, that is all the pictures for now! I would like to note that Scott's computer skills came in handy. Almost every photo you see was edited in some form or fashion by him :) That is all the time I have for today, so tune in next time for more wedding memories!
