Looking Back: Engagement Pics

Okay, so next I wanted to share some fun engagement photos that we had taken for our wedding announcement. First we had Rob Springgay take some for us. I use to live with the Springgays before my mission and he is like a Dad to me. So he thought it would be fun if we took some pictures with the Space Needle as our background since we met in Washington. Here are a few of my favorites:

We absolutely LOVED Rob's pictures! They were so fun! Then, one day our friends Lynda & Brett Cherry called up and said they would love to take formal princess-like pictures of us. So they found this great spot in Kirkland, WA and we took some pictures. Virginia is a bit of a princess, and they knew that, so it was fun getting all dressed up for princess pictures. So here are some of the pictures they took for us:

Our engagement was an exciting period of our lives. It was fun planning the wedding and dreaming of our future together. Scott and I picked out our first apartment and I moved in to our first home in January to get things all set up for when we would get married. Since I had just returned from my mission, and Scott was a bachelor we didn't have much furniture. Luckily, we found an awesome deal on Craig's List. We got a queen sized bed frame, mattress, a large dresser, two night stands, a large mirror, two pictures, a couch, a living room chair, a large coffee table, an end table, a long side table, a dining room table with four chairs, a microwave, pots and pans, dishes and silverware! We literally furnished our entire apartment for only $600! It was the deal of all deals! Since the wedding, we have upgraded a few things (due to wedding gifts), but overall we still have most of the furniture we started with. We spent most of our engaged time working, planning the wedding, and just living in pure bliss!
