Looking Back: The Wedding: Part 3: The Luncheon

After the sealing and pictures outside the temple, we headed back to the Manti House Inn (where my bridesmaids and I stayed overnight) for a luncheon. We thought it would be fun to have a Ring Ceremony for my family who couldn't be inside the temple, as well as Scott's sister, Amy, who hadn't received her endowments. The ring ceremony was great, but the area was a bit tight since the tables were set up for a luncheon. Even though it was a tight squeeze it was still wonderful!

We had our flower girl, Alliyah (Scott's cousin's daughter) walk in first. Alliyah is so sweet and looked absolutely adorable! We were so glad that we had her be part of our special day! Then we had our bridesmaids and groomsmen enter.  One funny fact is that my maid of honor, Laura, and Scott's best man, Andy, didn't even know each other and linked arms walking in, any Scott's brother, Daniel, and sister, Amy, weren't even touching when they walked in! It was funny when we noticed that in the pictures! After they walked in, we had Scott's Mom, Diane, walk in, followed by my Mom and my Aunt Debbie.

Then, my Uncle Ed walked me in and then just Scott's Dad, Scott and I stood at the front. We had Scott's Dad act as the officiator. Scott's Dad, Russ, said a few words about the temple and what we had just done inside. He pointed out that though we were already officially married, we still wanted to exchange rings. Then Scott and I shared how much we loved each other and exchanged rings.

Below are some pictures of the ring exchange:

After the ring exchange, we had lunch, and then some of our friends and family were invited to share any thoughts they had with us. It was a really special time as they all shared how much we mean to them and how excited they all are for us to be married.

Here are some pictures of the luncheon:

After the luncheon, Scott and I snuck back to the temple for a few more pictures and then we all headed back to Orem, where our Reception would be held that night. But that is another story! Tune in next time for more wedding memories :)
