Looking Back: The Wedding: Part 1: Getting Ready

When Virginia first received her endowments, she decided to go on a temple hopping trip to Utah. She received her endowments in the Mount Timpanogos Temple. During that week, she also visited the Provo Temple, the Jordan River Temple, the Salt Lake Temple, and the Manti Temple. When she visited the Manti temple, she fell in love with it and determined that if there was ever a way, she would get married in that temple. Well, her dreams came true and that is the temple they got sealed in.

She had this great idea to stay with her bridesmaids at a nearby hotel the night before the wedding since it was a long drive from Orem (where they were staying) to Manti. Below is a picture of the beautiful temple the night before the wedding.

Virginia and her two bridesmaids, Amy (Scott's sister) and Laura (her best friend), stayed in an awesome hotel room that had multiple beds and even a huge television. It was lots of fun. The next day, her friend Lynda, came to help do Virginia's hair and make-up and the girls got all ready for the wedding. Here are some pictures of us getting ready:

We ate an awesome breakfast at the hotel in the middle of getting ready. It was delish!

This is us getting ready in the hotel bathroom :)

My bridesmaids are just so beautiful!

Lynda Cherry is awesome! She made me look so pretty on my special day! I just loved my hair and make-up! She did such a wonderful job :)

This is when I gave my bridesmaids their gift (compact mirrors with their names on it). The one on the left is my excitement when I realized I gave them each the right mirror even though I didn't label everyone's names on the box. So fun!

After we finished getting ready, we headed over to the Manti temple (which was only across the street from the Manti Inn that we were staying at). And I arrived at the same time as Scott's grandpa, so he escorted me in to the temple. It was so sweet of him and I hold that memory of my wedding day to be very dear to me.

Well, that is all for this posting. Tune in next time for more wedding memories :)
